Ticonderoga Sentinel
FEBRUARY 20 1908.
Dr. Walter Warren, a Saranac Lake
and Lake Placid lung specialist, is
in the insane asylum at Ogdensburg.
That he insanity is said to be due to
a druggist's mistake in compounding
a prescription. The medicine had
been given to one of his patients, who
complained that it made him ill and to
prove that it was harmless Dr. Warren
took a large dose. Almost immed-
iately he became ill and physicians
were summoned, who found that the
medicine contained a powerful poison.
He gradually grew worse and finally
the mental trouble developed that caused
his removal.
